Roofing Services
Purpose: Defines what Summit's roofing line covers, how jobs are scoped, and what intake and sales need to know to qualify a roofing lead correctly. Pete owns execution; Tara owns pricing; Marcus's team owns the sales conversation.
What we do
- Roof repair. Leak repair, shingle replacement, flashing, vents, valleys, ridge caps. Minimum repair job is $650.
- Roof replacement. Full tear-off and replacement. Two systems only:
- Asphalt architectural shingle (the bulk of our volume)
- Standing-seam metal
- Inspections. Free roof inspections with a photo report. Treated as lead generation, not a paid service.
- Storm damage assessment. Post-storm walk-through with CompanyCam photo documentation, written up so a homeowner can hand it to their insurance adjuster.
Two of our three field crews are roofing crews, so roofing has the most scheduling flexibility of any line.
What we do not do under this line
- Flat/commercial membrane roofing (TPO, EPDM) beyond minor patching found during light-commercial work
- New-construction roofing for builders
- Tile or slate systems

Qualifying a roofing lead
- Repair or replacement? If the caller doesn't know, ask about the roof's age. Roofs past 18–20 years with active leaks usually get a replacement conversation, not a patch quote.
- Active leak right now? If water is coming in today, route to Emergency Repair triage instead of the standard estimate flow.
- Insurance involved? Storm and hail claims follow the insurance restoration path; see Insurance Restoration Customer for how those homeowners think and what they need.
- Inside the service area? Riverton metro plus Fairview, Lakeside, Cedar Falls, and surrounding towns, roughly a 45-minute drive radius. Check Locations and Service Areas.
Estimate delivered within 3 business days of site visit, same as every line.
Common scenarios
- "My neighbor's roofer said I need a full replacement." Offer the free inspection with photo report. We document what we see; we do not automatically match another contractor's diagnosis.
- "Can you just tell me what a new roof costs?" Give the $12,000–$38,000 typical residential range, explain that pitch, size, layers, and decking condition move the number, and book the site visit.
- "Hail hit us last week." Storm damage assessment first, then coordinate with the insurance path. Never promise what insurance will cover.
